Toubkal Hiking in 3 days 2 Nights

Djebel Toubkal is the highest mountain in the Haut Atlas (High Atlas),with a stunning height of 4,167 meters, this particular peak is the single highest mountain in North Africa. This summit is visible from the neighboring mountains. Our hike to the Toubkal, leads to the discovery of lunar landscapes, through tiny villages hanging on the mountainside, bordered by walnut trees, apple trees, terraced fields. The trail network is pristine throughout the area, making this climb a truly enjoyable experience. The trailwill take you through the lands of the Berbers who have a history that pre-dates the arrival of Islam and the Arabs. Walking through the Moroccan Atlas is a wonderful way of exploring the area. If you spend time in Morocco and you are an avid lover of nature or hiking, this trek to Jbel Toubkal’s summit cannot be missed!

Day 1 : Marrakech - Imlil - start of hike to Toubkal - Refuge of Toubkal.

In the early morning, short transfer to Imlil where we will meet the muleteer (s). We will start our hike through a beautiful climb to Aremd, a quaint village that. After passing through Aremd, you will pass the floodplain and then continue along a route that takes along the leftmost slope of Toubkal’s valley. This gives will give you a chance to observe much of the natural environment in the Park, while enjoying the experience of the hike until they reach Sidi Chamharouch, which is a small settlement entirely developed around a Muslim shrine at the location.From Sidi Chamharough, the tour will continue past it over a stream and then up a steep climb along the Isougouane valley. From there, you can pause for rest and spending the night at the Refuge.

Day 2 : Refuge du Toubkal (3100 M) - Ascension of the Toubkal (4167m) - Return to the Refuge.

The ascent of the highest peak in North Africa is without major difficulty. You will leave early to enjoy the coolness of the morning. The journey continues on past another stream and up a slope to the east that is just as steep before reaching a valley. Again, there is another steep climb, which establishes that you have reached Tizi’n’Toubkal at 3,940 meters. With the breathtaking view there, you will then turns northwards again and continues on to the summit of Djebel Toubkal. This particular summit is at an altitude of 4,167 meters, and there is a very interesting metal pyramidal frame at the top. From there, you can enjoy a view that encompasses most of the Anti-Atlas and Atlas mountains.

Day 3 : Refuge of the Toubkal - Imlil - Marrakech

After breakfast, we will descend to the marabout of Sidi Chemharouch (2250m) and continue to Imlil (1750 m) for lunch. After lunch we will drive back to Marrakech, we will arrive around 1 P.M.
Duration : 4H of walk / 1H20 of road.
